He was predeceased by : his wives, Dorothy Holman White and Bernice Warren White; and his daughter Katherine. He is survived by : his sons, Thomas (Mary Eileen), James (Diana) and Daniel; and his siblings, Virginia Levi, Florence Disbrow, Emilie Wooldridge and Scott White. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to McCabe Memorial Baptist Church, 107 Clearview Drive, Martinsville, VA 24112.
