With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Earl Cletis Utt of Axton, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 23, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Estel Utt and Olivia Quesenberry Utt; his wife Mary Hawks Utt; his sister Bonnie Smith; and his grandson Charles Cahill.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Robison, Lisa White (David) and Rodney Utt (Shirley); his siblings, Wanda Vaughn (Paul) and Rex Utt; his brother-in-law Jerry Smith; his grandchildren, Corey Rakes (Monica), James Cahill and Kelly Robison (Tim); his great grandchildren, Emily Cahill, Lilly Rakes and Allison Rakes; S. Harris, Sherri Smith and Anita Kendall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Earl Utt to the SPCA of Martinsville-Henry County, 132 Joseph Martin Highway, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
