He was predeceased by: his parents, Firstal Wilson and Emma Sue Divens Wilson; and his son Jimmy Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Polly Wilson; and his daughters, Shirby W. Keen, Kirby Wilson of Charlotte, NC, Gail Wilson of Axton, VA, Naomi Wilson of Pittsburgh, PA and Gunny Davis (Ossie) of Danville, VA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hairston Funeral Home (944 Giles Rd, Axton, VA 24054). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Evangelical Holiness Church (17340 Martinsville Hwy, Axton, VA 24054).
