He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Davis Peters and Mary Madeline Thompson Peters; and his siblings, Joyce Williams, Dave Peters, Bob Peters and Barry Peters.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Cooke Peters; his daughters, Bobbie Jo Lee (James Dominey) and Crystal Dove; his sister Carolyn Duncan; his sister-in-law Brenda Cooke; his brothers, Everett Peters (Deborah), Dale Peters (Robin) and Harry Hairston; his grandchildren, Haylee Custer (Austin), Ethan Lee, Megan Lee, Natalie Haley, Aliyah Peters and Lucas Peters; and his great grandchild Carson Custer. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services & Crematory - Martinsville Chapel (1500 Kings Mountain Rd, Martinsville, VA 24115). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Axton Fire Department, Axton Baptist Church or Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church.
