She was predeceased by: her siblings, Jaunita Blankenship, Doreda Harris and Noel. She is survived by: her husband Clyde Martin; her children, Valarie Martin Ellison (Ken) of Central, SC., Rev. Stephen Martin (Sarah) of Thomasville, NC. and Michelle Martin Durand (Jeff) of Danville, VA.; and her grandchildren, Kent Ellison (Joy), Bryan Ellison (Jamie), Megan Christian (Lionel), Emily Martin, Katie Martin, Julie Wright (Willie) and Jessica Durand. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fair Funeral Home (432 Boone Rd, Eden, NC 27288). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Immanuel Friends Church, 502 S Fieldcrest Rd, Eden, NC 27288.
