He is survived by: his parents, Myrtle Brown Steward Algee and Austin Russian Steward; his wife Shirley Reynolds Steward; his children, Debra Marie Yeaman, George Calloway of Danville, Brenda Leigh Jones (Calvin) of Providence, N. C., Tammy Wynett Hicks (Tony) of Axton and Joel J. Steward, Jr.; his wife Kristen Steward of Danville; his siblings, Gertie Westmoreland, Kathy Algee, Sue Scott, George Steward, Troy Algee, Ronnie Algee and Freddy Algee; Austin D. Steward (Christie) of Danville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
