She was predeceased by: her parents, Aileen Bryant Johnston and Robert Johnston; and her brother-in-law Bobby Deal. She is survived by: her husband Carroll Garrett; her daughters, Angela Garrett Fleming and Amy Garrett (Darryl Donovant); her siblings, Joan Nuckols (Earl), Dennis Johnston (Judy), Brenda Deal, Michael Johnston (Marla), Martha Soots (Barry), Becky Santiago (Richard) and Lisa Walker (Kurt); her grandsons, Dylan Matthew Hairfield (Taylor) and Colby Garrett Hairfield; her sister-in-law Phyllis Sites; and her siblings' children, Tommy Sites (Robin) and Carmala Shively (Andrew). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
