She was predeceased by : her mother Mable Martin Moyer; her husband Lewis "Peanut" Giles; and her sisters, Iris Jean Giles, Cornelia Mary Giles and Regina Wade.

She is survived by : her father Howard Lee Moyer; her children, Hollie Coles (John) of Axton, VA, Mia Giles Hairston (Garry) of Axton, VA, Phillip R. Giles of Axton, VA and Derek Giles of Axton, VA; and her siblings, Shan Moyer of Axton, VA and Howard Moyer of Martinsville, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
