B.) of Jewell Ridge, VA, Judy Smith of Jewell Ridge, VA, Harold Leroy Nelson (Angie) of Jewell Ridge, VA and Robin Smith of Jewell Ridge, VA; his siblings' children, Micheling "Micki" Nelson Johnson of Pikeville, Shelia Newberry of Swords Creek, VA, Misty Holcomb of Aberdeen, NC, Britney McCoy of Richlands, VA, Jeff White of Richlands, VA, Reggie Smith of Aberdeen, NC, Jonathan Lakey of Chesterfield, SC, Stephen Altizer, Scotty Altizer and Richard Altizer; his close friends, Quay White, Donnie Meadows, Lloyd Dunford, Gene Jewell, Greg Brown and Jan Baldwin; and his great-nephew Josh Waldron.
He was a proud supporter of the March of Dimes and would help to raise money for their charity.
