It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Smith of Barboursville, Virginia, who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his father Warren Ken Smith Sr.; his wife Hallie Jean Flint Smith; and his brothers, Warren K. Smith, Jr. and Harold Eugene Smith. He is survived by : his daughters, Melissa Denise Smith of Louisa and Sandra Kai Dowling of Barboursville; his siblings, Dallas Dexter Smith, Novella G. McCracken and Connie Buckhannon; his grandchildren, James Earl Smith (Kayla), Kenna Shayne Hershel Peacock and Luther William Peacock; and his great grandchildren, Aroara Kay Peacock, Sophia Serinity Peacock, Alexander Gremenec LaTour, Kai James Smith, Mitchell Bower and Luke Edward Alan Pullen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
