He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Wilson Young and Allie Ersel Wagner; his wife Barbara Hopkins Young; and his siblings, Carlton Leonard Young, Sr. and Roberta Evelyn Lawson.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy Young Mitchell (Mitch) of Somers, Montana, Jeffrey Young (Lynae) and Bryan Young; and his grandchildren, Montana Grace Young, Adrian Lee Mitchell II, Travis Knott (Alyssa), Stefan Knott (Jade) and Robbie Knott (Skyllar). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
