He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Chaney and Cassie Booth Davis; and his stepfather John S. Davis. He is survived by: his wife Frances Lucille Chaney; his children, Jim A. Chaney, Jr. and Debra Lynn Chaney of Parkersburg; his grandchildren, Jamie Ann Chaney of Bassett and B. J. Bernard of Washington State; and his siblings, Wayne Page Henderson of Gloucester, Virginia and Sharon Peters of Rocky Mount, Virginia.. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren.
