With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Mullis Burnette of Bassett, Virginia, who passed away on December 2, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul T. Mullis and Edna Louise Parks Mullis; her husband Aubie; and her siblings, Tina Hagee, George Mullis, Frankie Mullis and Cullen Mullis.
She is survived by: her daughter Tammy Cunningham (Tony); her stepson John Burnette; her granddaughters, Shawna Murdock, Olivia Martinez and Lillian Cunningham; her great grandchildren, Liam Murdock and Jackson Ramsey; and her great-uncle Lester Parks.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel (1425 Greensboro Rd, Martinsville, VA 24112). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
