He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Mills (Doty); his siblings, Charles Albert Mills Jr. and Carol Lee Mills; and his brother-in-law Thomas Lee Varner. He is survived by: his close friend Carlotta Ann Lilly; his son Chris; and his daughter-in-law Dee Dee Lilly. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
