He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Chiles and Virginia Montague Chiles; his wife Ruth Dollens Chiles; and his sister Virginia Chiles Keith. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Chiles (Charlie Touchette) of Crozet, Huff Chiles (Judy Woodson Chiles) of Batesville and Sarah Chiles of Crozet; his grandchildren, Lizzy Davis (Jordan), Ally Whitmer (Kevin) and Henry Chiles (Emily); his great grandchildren, Valerie Davis, Shelby Whitmer, Kinsley Whitmer and Eliza Chiles; his siblings-in-law, Thomas R. Keith of Ivy, Marvin W. Dollins (Dottie) of Waynesboro, Charlotte Dollins of Crozet and Eva Dollens of Crozet; and his nephews, Randy Keith of Crozet and Henry Keith (Susan) of Ivy.
