She was predeceased by: her husband James Robert Boyd; and her daughter Pat Boyd Burch. She is survived by: her daughter Jan Boyd Cole (Troy) of Belton, MO; her son-in-law David Burch of Bealeton, VA.; her grandchildren, Gary Funk (Wendy) of Warrenton, VA, Janet Omohundro (Danny) of Bealeton, VA and Col. Stan Cole of Blue Springs, MO; her stepgranddaughter Tammy Thompson (Corey) of Fredericksburg, VA; her great grandchildren, Andrew Funk (Aubrey), Patty Ryan (Vinnie), Kelly Omohundro and Kyle Funk (Megan); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Laney Davies (Dustin) and Mandy Smith (Dylan); and her great great grandchildren, Lane, Dani Lynn Ryan, Callen, Brayden Funk and Wesley Davies.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Doris' name be made to Park Valley Church, 4500 Waverly Farm Drive, Haymarket, VA 20169 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
