She was predeceased by: her parents, Winston Watts Burks and Anna Haile Burks; her former husband William Key Turpin; her brother Winston Watts Burks, Jr.; her children, William Watts Turpin (Ann Leavesley-Turpin) and Rebekah Winston Turpin Trexler (Michael Steven Trexler); and her great grandchildren, Nicholas Eric Trexler, Haile Anna Chain and Tristin Chain.

She is survived by: her sisters, Elizabeth Burks Clarkson and Mary Burks Pipes (Noland Pipes); her sister-in-law Eugenia Alderson Burks; her grandchildren, Jennifer Trexler (Mark Chain), Jeffrey Trexler, Elizabeth Turpin Jennings (Andrew Jennings) and Philip Lawrence Turpin; her husband Donald Farmer; her stepsons, Warren Todd Farmer, Timothy David Farmer (Cathy Bowman Farmer) and Tracy Brian Farmer (Lillian Martinez Farmer); her grandchildren, Kristin Gail Farmer, Kiley Farmer Fisher (Kevin Fisher), Cody Bryan Farmer and Carly Gail Farmer; and her great grandchild Declynn Nicole Fisher.
