She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Ballard; and her son Donald R. Ellis. She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Ellis, Jr. (Andrea) and Tracy Ellis; her grandchildren, Jamie Ellis (Jessica) and Derek Ellis (Megan); her great grandchildren, Winston Ellis, Lillian Ellis and Fivel Ellis; her siblings, Betty Tyree, Danny and Barry; her sisters-in-law, Urcelle Kingery and Pat Richards; her caregiver Dawn Watts (Joseph); and her close friend Faye Spradlin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
