She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Lathan Mitchen and Celestia "Essie" Howell Mitchen; her husband Moorman Morris Johnson; her grandson Michael David Johnson; her great grandchild Jacob Harris; and her son-in-law Glenn Nichols.
She is survived by: her children, Moorman M. Johnson, Jr. (Judy), Michael R. Johnson (Frances), Rickie L. Johnson, Mark A. Johnson (Mitzi), Pamela J. Arrington (Tommy) and Peggy J. Nichols; her siblings, Willis Mitchen (Nancy) and Carolyn Goin; and her close friend Peggy Brown. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
