He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Luther Kanode and Doris Rena Prillaman Kanode; and his wife Wanda Jo Swanson Kanode. He is survived by: his children, William "Billy" G. Kanode (Lucy), Tammy Kanode Hardy (Adam) and Lorie Kanode Neylon (Michael); his grandchildren, Ashton Kanode, Paige Neylon, Rena Hardy, James Hardy and Mattie Neylon; and his sister Nancy S. Kanode.
