He is survived by: his father Joe Taborn; his stepmother Sadie Taborn of Bedford, Virginia; his brother Joseph Taborn of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Derrek Taborn of Altoona, Pennsylvania and Zaniya Battles of Altoona, Pennsylvania; his aunts, Rose Marie Alexander of Oxford and Annie Mae Stroughter of Youngstown, Ohio; and his stepbrother William Jones (Teresa Jones) of Roanoke, Virginia..
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Cross Road Baptist Church (191 Cross Roads Ln, Evington, VA 24550).
