She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Green Moorefield and Addie Owen Moorefield; her husband Paul Laughlin; her daughter Barbara Jean Laughlin; her son-in-law James Kenneth "Teny" Key; and her siblings, James Carr Owen (Olene), Annie Goodman, Janie Fisher and Francis Chandler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sylvia June Laughlin Key of Bedford and Teresa May Laughlin (B. J.) of Appomattox; her granddaughter Jennifer Key Overstreet (Hunter) of Lynchburg; and her pet Frisky. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
