She was predeceased by: her husband William Robert Latimer, Jr.; her parents, William Letcher Rector and Dossie Irene Davis Rector; and her siblings, Ira Gene, Earl, Wesley, William Jr., Charlie Rector, Bonnie Calloway and Corrina Nance.

She is survived by: her son William David Latimer (Emelia) of Bedford; her stepgrandchildren, Emilya Grace Henniger and Jada Henniger; Josephine Henniger and Harald Henniger. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
