With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys Martin Toms of Bedford, Virginia, who passed away on May 27, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Stuckey and Martha Layne Stuckey; and her daughter-in-law Gayle Toms. She is survived by: her husband Ray L. Toms; and her children, Billy Toms, Dale Toms (Debbie), Kent Toms (Kathleen), Ronnie Toms (Debbie) and Lisa Eubanks (James). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service (1140 W Lynchburg Salem Turnpike, Bedford, VA 24523). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Updike Funeral Chapel (1140 W Lynchburg Salem Turnpike, Bedford, VA 24523). A burial will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Suck Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (3887 Jopling Rd, Bedford, VA 24523).
