He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shirley Daugherty and Esta Virginia Childers Daugherty; and his sister Tammy Daugherty McKinney. He is survived by: his sisters, Lisa Stevens and Patricia Daugherty; his wife Janet Bruner Daugherty; his children, Bridgette Adkins (Joe), Candice Disney (Joe) and Adam Daugherty (Krystal); and his grandchildren, Austin Adkins, Carson Adkins, Hutch Kellett, Abraham Kellett, Chase Daugherty, Conner Daugherty, Jaden Smith, Corbin Daugherty and Cooper Daugherty.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Burch and Messier Chapel (1235 Walnut St, Bedford, VA 24523). A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Virginia Memorial Gardens. The military honors will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at the same location.
