She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Thomas Neff and Carrie Louise Turpin Neff; her infant Baby Ortiz; and her sister Carolyn Haste. She is survived by: her husband Luis Alberto Ortiz; her children, Vincent Ortiz (Jennifer), Margaret Ortiz Hauser (Jeff), Loretta M. Ortiz-Duncan (Wayne), Katherine Ortiz Ballard (Mike) and Victor Ortiz (Jennifer); her brother-in-law Carlos Enrique Ortiz; and her nephew Joel Carrera. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
