With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary McNamara Arthur of Bedford, Virginia, who passed away on April 1, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Perrig McNamara and Eleanor Sanford Jones McNamara. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Harper Gleich of Carthage, NC and Laura Arthur Carter of Bedford, VA.; her grandchildren, Haley King, Keegan Gleich, Eleanor Carter and Jackson Carter; her great grandchildren, Kaiden, Kinsley and Kennedy; her brother Maurice "Sandy" McNamara; and her nieces, Elizabeth, Jessica and Abigail. She is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary to Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Holy Cross Catholic Church or Bedford Christian Ministries.
