She was predeceased by: her parents, Deacon Willard and Louella Coleman Thompson; and her stepmother Katherine Younger Thompson. She is survived by: her siblings, Willard Jr., Anne Wright of Stuarts Draft, VA and Minister Vivian Curtis of Washington, DC; her daughter Vanessa Fauntleroy of Bedford; her cousins, Simeon Crews of Florida, Katherine Oglesby of Washington, DC and Tammy Thompson of Bedford; and her godson Sherrod Butler of Lexington, VA..

Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel (1039 Rock Castle Rd, Bedford, VA 24523). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Otterville Baptist Church (1184 Otterville Rd, Bedford, VA 24523).
