He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ira Wood and Ruby Virginia Rice Wood; his wife Carrie Sperberg Wood; and his daughter Carolyn Wood Hubbard. He is survived by: his son Thomas Earl Wood; his grandchildren, Tyler Wood, Jared Hubbard (Cheryl), Dustin Hubbard (Brandy) and Ashton Sapin (Sean); his great grandchildren, Samantha, Amelia, Trevor, Bristol, Daisy, Vayla, Tristan and Liam; and his son-in-law Michael Hubbard.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Timber Ridge Baptist Church (3234 Timber Ridge Rd, Bedford, VA 24523). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
