He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Overstreet and Annie Hubbard Overstreet; his wife Edith Brads Overstreet; and his grandson Matthew Alexander Overstreet. He is survived by : his children, Michael Overstreet (Christina) and Tracy Witt; his grandchildren, Joshua Overstreet (Anjulea), Taylor Overstreet, Samuel Overstreet, Corey Witt and Kayla Witt; his great grandchildren, Austin Puckett, Camden Byer, Ava Overstreet, Avery Overstreet, Aquilla Freeman, Anyla Freeman, Jillyan Overstreet, Archer Overstreet and Justyce Overstreet; and his siblings, Peggy, Shirley, Alice, Mavis, Mary, John and Stewart.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Holyland Cemetery.
