He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Davis and Dollie Anne Hensley Davis; his wife Ruth Ann Angus Davis; and his siblings, Willie Davis (Mary), Mary Gardner (Ed), Warren Davis, Howard Davis (Sarah), Fannie Gardner (Boyd), Annie Pearl Davis, James Davis (Velma), Russell Davis (Betty), Andrew Davis (Ella), Clarence Davis and Bob Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Kennedy (Bill), Curtis Davis (Vicky), Jackie Mays (Greg) and C. M. Davis (Michele); and his sister-in-law Ella Davis. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Sedalia Baptist Church Cemetery (1072 Charlemont Rd, Big Island, VA 24526).
