We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2025, at the age of 89, Robert Lee Hottinger of Bergton, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Elmer and Lena Jane Simon Hottinger; and his siblings, Ronald, Alfred, Loy Elmer, Jr., George Hottinger, Velma Lantz, Faye "Norma" Hottinger, Loraine Fitzsimmons, Edith Hottinger and Marian Ruby Ennis.
He is survived by: his sons, Durand Hottinger (Carolyn) of Bergton and Jeremy Hottinger (Angie) of Bergton; his grandchildren, Jennifer Mongold (Eric) of Mathias, WV and Ashley Shiflet (Justin) of Fulks Run; his great grandchildren, Landen Mongold, Garrett Mongold, Parker Shiflet and Hadley Shiflet; and his siblings, Gay Kirby of Franklin, KY and Richard Hottinger of Phoenix City, Alabama..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church Cemetery (17543 Bergton Rd, Bergton, VA 22811).
