He was predeceased by: his parents, William Albert Lester and Mary Payne Lester; his wife Patricia Juanita Lester; his siblings, Kate Gibson, Ellen Propps, Whit Lester and Herman Lester; and his pets, Daisy and Buddy.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Presgraves of Winchester, VA, Teresa Jane Lineburg of Berryville, VA, Kimberly K. Hamlin of Inwood, WV and James Daniel Lester of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Travis C. Presgraves, P. J. Bailey, Taylor Seal and Trevor Hamlin; and his great grandchild Autumn René Seal. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
