We announce the death of Lester Dean Manley (Big Island, Virginia), who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 90. Lester will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Manley and Evelyn Manley; his wife Betsy Branch Manley; and his sisters, Duval (Billy), Carey, Jimmie and Nancy (Peter).
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Fogus (Von) and Beth Tanner (Eldon); Andrew, Miles, Cooper, Allie, Watson, Everlee, Katy, Presley, Josie and Elynn. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hunting Creek Baptist Church (15455 Big Island Hwy, Big Island, VA 24526). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial donation to the Hunting Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Fund.
