He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Minor Nowlin and Virginia Clayton Nowlin; and his brother Alan Ray Nowlin. He is survived by: his wife Martha Paxton Nowlin; his daughters, Sara Hall (Greg) of Columbus, OH, Theresa Peregoff (Michael) of Chesapeake, VA and Kimberly Burnette (Lacy) of Goodview, VA.; his granddaughter Elizabeth Burnette; his siblings, Joann Sprouse (JD) and Gary Nowlin (Maryellen); his brothers-in-law, David Paxton (Vicki), Joseph Paxton (Annette) and James Paxton (Hilda); and his pet Andy. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
