He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Banks and Viola Banks (Dobbs); the mother of his children Mary Stacy (Marthe Banks); his sisters, Mary Morgan and Geraldine Huff; and his grandson Joseph Young.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Lyons (David), Tim Banks, David Banks (Waunita), Billy Joe Banks and Lamar Barber; his sisters, Edna Bowman and Roberta Wilson of Georgia; and his grandchildren, Ambre, Arial, David, Larissa, Cameron, Jaidyn, Kelsey, Alexander, Alexsis, Duey, Jacob, Zachary, Bryson, Jonah, Leila and Randy. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, seventeen great-grandchildren,& several great nieces and nephews along with many other close friends.
