It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee Roy Smith (Big Stone Gap, Virginia), who passed away on October 22, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Smith and Walter Smith; and his siblings, Walter "Willie" Smith and Lettie Carolyn Betonti. He is survived by: his wife Linda Smith; his children, Patty Cope (Kelly) of Jonesville and Mark Smith of Exeter; his granddaughters, Amber Millsap (Jordan), Brianna Clark and Alyssa White (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Everleigh Millsap and Jace Sumpter; his siblings, Joe Ray Smith of Robbins Chapel, Pauline Neuman and Paulette Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Wayne Huff (Flora), David Huff (Mitzi) of Exeter and Robert Huff of Keokee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
