He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Dena (Randy), Glynis (Mark), James, Brennan, Nevaeh, Serenity and Audria; his grandchildren, Jared, Tina, Haley, Devin and Megan; his great grandchildren, Landon, Riley, Ember and Jaxson; and his siblings, Mary Cheek (Willie) of Wise, Aloma Hobbs of Big Stone Gap, John L. Coomer (Watonna) of Big Stone Gap and Bobby Coomer (Susie) of Big Stone Gap.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holding Funeral Home, Inc. (17 E 3rd St N, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery (4031 Stewart St, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219).
