He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ring and Nell Ring; and his siblings, RJ Ring, Ralph Ring (Cooboy) and Betty Ring.

He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Willis Ring (Leandra) and Heather Bentley; and his grandchildren, Layla and Cameron Ring. He is also survived by relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (310 6th St NW, Coeburn, VA 24230). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel (310 6th St NW, Coeburn, VA 24230). A procession will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Sturgill Funeral Home (310 6th St NW, Coeburn, VA 24230). A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Acres Cemetery (436 Centre Ave NE, Coeburn, VA 24230).
