She was predeceased by: her father Sanford B. Thurmond; her husband James D. Horton; and her brothers, Sanford E. "Jack" and Hal M. Thurmond. She is survived by: her children, Phil (Pam), Ric (Marci), Bryan (Trish) and Gayle Hart (Pat). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
