He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Sisson (McCue) and Andrew Russell Sisson; his brother Edwin Sisson; and his mother-in-law Helen Wager. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Wager; his sister Kelly Sisson Henson; his siblings-in-law, John Henson and Susan Wager; his nephew Chris Gottlieb; his sister-in-law Margaret Scully; his niece Andrea Scully Knepper (Jacob); his great-nephew Alex Carr; and his great-niece Rose Carr.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation (1301 Gladewood Dr, Blacksburg, VA 24060).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Carilion Clinic Foundation, noting the Cardiology Dept. at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital or the Carilion New River Valley Heart Failure Clinic as recipients, or the American Civil Liberties Union.
