She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Taylor and Giles Melvin Hoover; her husband Guy French Shelor; her son Guy Steven Shelor; and her siblings, Marita Graham, Giles Hoover and Roy Hoover.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Stevee Sue (Seth Johnson); her great grandchildren, Kaiden and Adalyn; her siblings, Arlene Garnand and David Darrell Hoover; and her sister-in-law Mary Adam.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens (2880 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blacksburg Christian Church, 240 Watson Avenue, Blacksburg, VA 24060.
