With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lawrence Piland Bowen of Blacksburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 23, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lawrence may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lawrence touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her significant other Trent. She is survived by: her children, Beth Howell (Wayne), Trish Snow (Sam) and Rodney Bowen (Adair); her close friends, Michelle and Tigerlily; and her friend Doc. She is also survived by grandchildren, ten treasured great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in her honor can be sent to The Warm Hearth Foundation or the Virginia Wildlife Center.
