We announce the death of Ronald William Belay in Blacksburg, Virginia, who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 81. Ronald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Olga Belay and Joseph Belay; and his sister Marilyn. He is survived by: his wife Elaine S. Belay; his sons, Bryan Belay and Matthew Belay (Nancy); his stepsons, Ryan Price (Alexia), Ben Price (Sarah) and Justin Yeoman-Price (Kaitie); and his grandchildren, Brennyn, Ishmael, Eli, Tommy, Andy, Brooke, Brodie and Rudy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org.) or the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church on Price's Fork Road in Blacksburg, VA.
