He was predeceased by: his parents, Auther Linkous and Nina Bane Linkous. He is survived by: his wife Janie Linkous; his children, Nora Linkous Woolwine, Shelia (Fred Linkous), Karen Linkous, Joyce (Tony Hopkins), Stanley "Tony" (Amby Linkous) and Gary "Gomer" Linkous; his grandchildren, Travis Linkous, Brandon Woolwine (Kyrra), Richard Spence, Jr., Kyndra Merix (William), Christina Agnew (Chris), Justin Linkous (Molly), Elisha Spence (Scott), Vincent Linkous and Bradley Linkous (Britney); his great grandchildren, Levi, Riley, Aubrey, Carter, Shelana, Brayden, Cole, Arabella, Gunner, Mea, Bryland, Remington, Jaxson, Vincent and Sophie; and his sisters-in-law, Veltie Linkous and Daisy Early. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home (150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church (894 Merrimac Rd, Blacksburg, VA 24060).
