He was predeceased by: his mother Julia Morgan Johnson; his brother Milton; his mother Janelle Morgan; his uncle William Morgan (Smiley); his cousin Delores Holmes; and his sister Myra Morgan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julia Johnson and Krystle Hicks (Christopher); his grandchildren, Khamani Johnson, KhaMesha Johnson, KhaMora and KhaMari Hicks; his brothers, James, Eric, Kenneth and Isaac Johnson; his cousins, Dorena Stokes (Robert), Clarence Morgan and Jerome Morgan; his uncle Leroy Morgan (Louise) of Baltimore, MD; his aunts, Ellen Cummings and Mamie Morgan of Blackstone, VA.; and his sister-in-law Virginia Morgan.
