She was predeceased by: her father-in-law Carey Lightner; and her grandparents, G. C. and Geneva Shepherd. She is survived by: her husband Carey; her son Colin; her parents, David Shepherd and P. J. Shepherd; her siblings, Kallyn Paul (Trevor), Maggie Zollos (Emerson) and Jesse Shepherd (Maria); her mother-in-law Wanda Lightner; and her grandparents, Wendell and Lynn Springston. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church (1705 Cox Rd, Wilsons, VA 23894).
