He was predeceased by : his parents, Beatrice Morgan-Campbell and Theodore Holmes; his grandmother Mattie Mallory; and his siblings, Desiree Morgan and Glenn Morgan.

He is survived by : his wife Tyra Mack; his children, Derrick Jr., Marcus, Taylor and Mia; his siblings, Merrill, Ricky (Aretha), Dwight (Michelle), Trevell (Channon), Theodore, Jermaine, Veronica (Stanley) and Joyce (Kevin); his mother-in-law Brenda Jordan; his grandchildren, Gabriella, Zaden, Maazi, Alivia, Nicolette and Leilani; his great-aunts, Rosa Yates and Clara Palmer; and his aunt Earnestine Mallory.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the W. E. Hawkes and Son Funeral Home (504 East St, Blackstone, VA 23824). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
