He was predeceased by: his parents, Amanda Hayes Davis and Daniel James Davis Sr. Doug; and his siblings, John B. Davis, Willie Davis, Marvin Davis, Daniel Davis, Frank Davis, Barbara Jean and Beatrice.

He is survived by: his wife Tonia Biviens Davis of Blackstone, Virginia; his children, Nichole Louise Williams, James Antwan Davis of Chesterfield and Douglas James Davis Jr.; his siblings, Lucy Marable of Victoria, Virginia, Dorothy Hite of Victoria, Virginia, Markquist Davis of Hackensack and Louis Davis of Victoria, Virginia; his siblings-in-law, Stephanie Armstrong of Glen Allen, Virginia, Mary Davis of Oxford, Rosa Lee Davis of Victoria, Virginia and James C. Biviens, IV; and his friends, Nathan Hawthorne of Richmond, Virginia. and Doug. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. E. Hawkes and Son Funeral Home (504 East St, Blackstone, VA 23824). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (921 Lunenburg Ave, Victoria, VA 23974).
