He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Menting and Mildred Hunter Menting. He is survived by: his wife Diane May Menting; his children, William Menting (Christine), Ellen Marie Bradley (Fred), Diane Marie Gendrow (Charles) and John Nolan; and his brother Reid Menting (Marilyn). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Theresa Catholic Church (709 Buffalo St, Farmville, VA 23901). A Mass will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (2597 Bruceville Rd, Meherrin, VA 23954).
